It is really easy, 2 nuts and 1 bolt. ECM sits ontop of your battery, 2 big connectors and off it comes. Just take care putting the connector back on, you can bend the pins.

I would disconnect both of the battery terminals before I removed or installed a new ECM. The is power applied to the ECM all the time. You may not hurt the old one, but you may damage the new one.
They pug in pretty easy, so don't use excessive force.
You also have to move your Prom unless the new one has it installed already.
