Finally I decided it was time to install the new 23lb/hr Accel fuel injectors on such a beautiful day.
Things were going pretty well and looked like an "early" button up...till the pressure line to the fuel rail started to cross-thread. That took over an hour and numerous attempts to get the damn pipe bent just right so the nut would hand start....
Finally got the two fuel lines installed leak free, primed the fuel rail to leak check and (of course) the 9th injector line to the LH rear of the rail was leaking....
All I had was a small thin O-ring; not suffienent to stop all leaking, of course...
Tomorrow it's off to Lowe's plumbing section in search of a rubber gasket/O-ring to seal that damn 9th injector port. I know it should be fuel-proof rubber but plumbing supplies will have to do....again.

I cross threaded that fuel fitting and ByeByel98 and I had to grind off the first thread with a Dremel. It's really easy to do that.
Word of caution.....don't drop a screw down the hole.
How close are you to the highway again???
I was quick and cautious while the injectors were out; only had to pull the RH runners and loosen the LH side to pull the rail. Of course I stuffed paper towels into the base ports soon as the runner was removed...
Or just delete it, I removed the 9th injector long ago.
While trying to get the 9th hooked up I managed to bend the injector mounting tab and considered the delete option but decided it'd be quicker to just find a gasket and straighten the mounting tab.

I'm glad my pain is your lesson!
Should be on the road by next week. I stopped by today and they're waiting on the new rod and piston. The head isn't back yet.
Hey, when I get goin' I'll take a ride up to Blau.....for lunch...
Sounds good; you may be on the road before I am at this rate...
After trying Lowe's, two auto parts stores finally at a hardware store I found a rubber gasket that I was able to machine with my Dremel to seal up that damn 9th injector pipe.
You were right about it being so much easier w/o that damn AIR plumbing, gees what a deal with all that.
Buttoned up, clean and ready to go Sat; only a slight "tic" due to partly stripped EGR tube bolt into intake base...
The scanner shows she's running a little rich (965mV) at WOT but the Int shows 128 at idle so I'll wait to see what the time slips show before playing with fuel pressure.
The SOTP impression is a lot better throttle response and more power; I'm anxious to get some time slips now...
Follow up....based on 9 passes down the 1/4 mile Sat 4/26:
1-no gain in launch, i.e. short time was the same
2-no gain in trap speed nor drop in ET
3-smoother idle
4-no more bogging on launch....
No 4 was worth the price and the effort, as I scored 1st round wins in each of the two (double-header) Corvette Challenge events...
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
