Default LT1 in a 1990 Vette?

I recently bought an LT1 out of a '93 Vette and was planning to install it in a '90 Vette that had an L98 (I believe). I have the engine, transmission, wiring harness & computer, but I was told my dash gauges will not work with this computer. Is this true? If so, what can I do to make it work?

Thanks,
JD

Why? All that time, trouble, and expense? There's easier ways to get 50HP.

Actually, I'll be adding 300 horsepower with an LT1! Currently, the '90 has no engine or transmission. I bought it as a project car.

Cool. Maybe you can get a LT1 dash so the gauges work.

You can do it, it has been done before. If you have a complete wiring harness, you may be able to use the '90 dash? but you may need to change out the cluster. You will definatly need a '90 FSM.

Good luck, and keep us posted.

I've got one out of a 96. I swapped to a LT4 cluster.

Thanks for the information. I can get the '93 dash also.
How hard is the swap to a '90?
