Removed the transmission and engine on a 94 and after reinstalling, I can't get the transmission dipstick tube inserted into the transmission. There doesn't seem to be enough room to manuver the tube between the transmission and the firewall. Any tips or alternative solutions?
Yup, jack the car up so that you can crawl underneath. Make certain you place the proper safety jacks under all wheels. Our C4s are a b***h to properly jack up.
Loosen the top right transmission bolt that holds the transmission tube in place. You should then be able to maneuver that diptick in any position possible and put in into the transmission. You need a long extension with a swivel joint to reach that bolt. . .and probably an air or electric power toll will make this a snap.
Good luck!!
