Default no power to the computer?

Checked some more stuff on the car, and found that it is not giving power to the D section of the computer. Does anyone know where the fusable link to that might be? (to the computer)

Fusible links are only used on high current circuits, none are used on the ECM. There is a fuse in the fuse block that powers the ECM. On my 87 it is called ECM/ign. I don't know what it is for 91's.

check your fuse pannel over by the passenger side of the dash, i suspect a blown fuse or a bad ECM.

I dont know about 91 but my former 92 Vert had some fuses underneath the passenger side's glove compartment. It is a bi^ch to get there.

I hope you resolve this and if you do, dig deeper...why did the fuse go out?

all the fuses are good. there is just no power to the ECM. ??? the problems that we are aware of: no check engine light upon turning key to on position (lightbulbs and such are in working condition), noid lights dont blink when checking injectors, and no power to fuel pump. thinking it might be a bad ground wire, or no power to ECM. no clue where to start!!!

Your symptoms indicate either no power to the ECM, blown injector fuses, or a defective ECM. If you have the GM electrical diagnosis service manual, it shows what pins on the ECM connector get 12v and what pin/pins are grounded. You can unplug the ECM and use your ohmeter to test the ground pins, then turn on the ign sw and check for 12v. If the ECM is getting power and is grounded and the injector fuses are not blown (check with an ohmeter), then you likely have a defective ECM.
If there is no power, then you need to go back up the wiring diagram and find out where the 12v power disappears.
