So occasionally the car idles high around 1100-1300 rpm when it should be at 800rpm, and it makes a squeeling sound. When i put the clutch in the squeeling stops but it still idles high. This will happen, go away, and keeps coming back....anyone have a clue? Thanks
By the way it is a 1994 LT-1 vette 6 speed, with 68000 miles

I would counter that it is not the throw-out bearing (more correctly called a release bearing on our C4s), but either the pilot bearing or the input shaft bearing on the transmission.
Worn-out release bearing make squealing noises when the clutch pedal is depressed. Otherwise, they are not spinning on their bearings as both components of the release bearing are spinning together.
Given the relatively low mileage, I would check and then consider changing the tranny oil (consider using the BMW Castrol oil, works great), in case it is the fluild level/age causing the input shaft bearing to squeal.
If it's the pilot bearing, live with it until you need to do the clutch.
regarding the high idle, could be many things, check air filter, MAF may need to be cleaned, check for vacume leaks, how's coolant temp, is it steady or rise steadily at idle? How old is coolant, if more than 2 yrs or equivalent mileage (15k), should change it, as hot spots gassing could be occuring. How's O2 sensors?
Maybe hook up a datamaster and look for any oddities.
i changed the anti freeze 1 year ago, never did the tranny fluid.
The squeeling noise occurs when the clutch is out, when i press it it the squeeling stops. The squeel and high idle come and go tho, its not constant any suggestions that may stop squeeling besides taking the trans apart for throw out or pilot bearing,
