Engine Ringing Noise
I've noticed a ringing noise coming from the motor as it warms up. Its like a bad alternator bearing, except its not the alternator at all. It goes up and down in oscillation with engine revs. Seems to be coming from the oil galley. If I rev to 4,000 for awhile the ringing tends to subside temporarily. Sort of concerned as this motor has less than 500 miles and has never been abused. Has roller '87 cam with roller lifters. Any ideas on the cause? Lifters? Hope its not a engine bearing. (clutch setup is all new). Thanks.
