Opinons Pls 85 Vette stalls when hot
Hello all,
I am new to your forum but have had my vette for some yrs. now. 85 vette with just under 30k miles. I put on about 2k miles per yr. since I bought it and have had the same problem since I bought it that dealer, pro shop and "great" mechanic could not fix yet since it is intermittent.
Car stalls out after it has warmed up, sometimes in drive, or reverse, when no gas has been applied (sitting in traffic) or just before applying gas, to pull foward, or just when you put in reverse to apply gas to back into a parking space. RPM's idle fine, then all of a sudden drop way down, car stalls. Starts right back up. You have to ride gas/brake when in traffic as you don't know when it will stall out.
Fuel inj. cleaned, new tune up, no codes thrown. From reading other posts similiar, could it be the IAC?
Your posts are very technical for me. I'm a basic oil change it yourself girl and pull the spark plugs, but don't ask too much more. If you can point me in the right direction, I'll try to bring it to someone who will understand your advise.
