Default Replacing Window Switches in '87 Coupe

Hello all, I have an L98 coupe that has a coupe of busted window switches. Before I go out to the garage to give it a go, I'd like to hear what the forum has to say about replacing it. It looks like I need to remove some of the plastic trim around the center tunnel - how many screws and bolts are there, and where are they located? I don't want to break anything else.

Is there anything else I should know about replacing the switches?

Thank you!

From what I remember to get access there, I had to remove the center plate that goes around the shifter. To do this I needed to remove the auto shifter *** which is easy but requires a snap ring pliers. I also had to remove the center dash part around the radio as the shifter cover part goes behind the dash part.

Ditto on the center dash part, but I didn't remove the shift ****. I just raised the console piece up high enough to get to the switches. If I remember correctly (it's been awhile since I did this) the electrical plugs were tough to hook into the knew switch.

Or.... it may have been something else.

The console plate is actually partly under the center dash panel which is partly under the instrument cluster trim.

1. Tilt the wheel to the low position and unscrew the tilt lever.
2. Pull the headlight **** to the on position and release the clip that holds the **** on. Rotate it and you will see a slot on the back. Slide a screwdriver from the shaft towards you and into the slot to release the ****.
3. Remove all of the screws that you see on the instrument cluster trim. There are screws on the front and side where the door opens.
4. Remove the instument cluster trim.
5. Remove the four screws that hold the center trim in place. Two are at the bottom and two are near the breadloaf.
6. Remove the center dash trim.
7. Remove the four screws on the console plate. Two are on top and two are under the console lid.
8. Lift the trim and rotate around the shifter.
9. Remove the screws holding the switches in place and carefully unplug and pop them out of the plastic mounts.
10. Reverse for reassembly.
