hi guys whats new? i just installed tpis exhaust on my 91, i have a few questions as to what others with this exhaust might have done to install it.
my questions are, the hanger for the tail pipe is to short, what have people done to fix this problem?
where the muff pipe goes in to the tail pipe are right in the bend and the clamps that tpis has sent i cant get them to keep the muff and the pipe tight.
No help here I have TPIS long tubes and they are excellent but I have Dr Gas X pipe and had custom 3 in exhaust put on.
I just didn't figure the kits were the trick.
I have a full TPIS system from the long tubes on back to the Flowmaster muffler/tailpipe. From what I remember (going back a few years) all I had to do is take it to the muffler shop and have tack weld/clamp it up with their stuff; it all tucks under real nice and they didn't charge much for it; I have the full 3" y pipes and 3 1/2" center pipe....flows very well; the only thing I don't like is the black paint; will not stick for long with heat.....
