Default Oil vs. Coolant Temp
I have an 89 model with some work done on the engine.

I have ususally run around 200 deg on both once the engine gets hot. Today, I was running 240 deg oil temp and around 210 coolant temp.

Does this seem out of whack? What is too hot?

my 86 is, oil 220 coolant 185 sounds in line to me

My oil temps are 210 tops and coolant is about 185 tops. Your numbers are both safe levels though, no need to worry.

the oil temp can be 20-25 deg hotter than Coolant at times. This is normal.
