Default 383 Still Tuning....

I've noticed a steep drop in mpg.... Ive fallin all the way to like 7.... Its all in town driving stop and go and very short trips, nothing on the highway, but STILL its normally right around 10!! Im using Datamaster to tune and would like to check out my IAC before I move on... This is the car with the slow rev... So anyway Datamaster says around 100 IAC Pos with a min of 56.... So what should I do? Also what else should I move to now that Ive played with the lower VE tables and have them somewhat close...?? I just got my Eproms... How long do you leave them in the eraser??
Thank in advance!!!!

Nomar,

I just noticed that you've got a '90. Do yourself a favor and ditch the 27c256's and get amtel AT29c256's. They're flash chips. No UV erasing..

I did just take some more readings today... The car is still running awfully rich but certainly better than when I started. I have IAC pos's of around 93-110 and Map readings of around 45-55 at idle. Im getting really frustrated by a surging idle at cold start up. It goes away over time, basically flattens itself out if you let it idle long enough. Anyway, any thoughts on what is causing this. Before I started tuning the surge was so bad the car would sometimes stall, now its better but still drives me nuts. Im talking from 1300 down to 600 and back up when trying to hold at say 850 or so. As for the flash proms I ordered some from a ThirdGen member who sorta screwed up on the deal, I sent him the money and he COULDNT FIND the flash proms, so he sent me more eproms instead....
