Default Rear brake question

Well i am planning on redoing my whole rear brakes. They are old and i just want new everything. I already have the fronts are z06 upgrade.

So for the rears i plan on new rotors/pads, calipers and everything. Does anyone sell rears already powder coated red to match the C5 Z06 brakes? Also on my fronts i plan on doing rotors/pads.

So what is a good rotor to buy for front and back? i have searched and people seem to say napa for a good cheap replacement i am just gettin some final opinions before i go spend my money. thanks

oh also is there some kind of book our website to read about adjusting brakes etc. I just want to learn all of it and all proper setup since i am positive everything can be properly fine tuned on a car. thanks again

I've been happy with the Centric rotors from racepages.com, they have free shipping and no tax. The hats are painted black, this is for the front C5 rotors. I would not replace good working rear calipers. vbandp.com may sell red rear calipers, I am not sure I just have a vague memory of seeing them in the catalog. I would spend the most of this bill on good pads. A good pad is going to stop much better then the common cheap junk. There is a big difference!

If the rears are just "ugly", but work okay, pull them off and take them to a machine shop and have them blasted, then paint them yourself. I did this, and got a rebuild kit (less than $10 I think). Since I blew the pistons out for the rebuild, I went ahead and taped up the cylinder to save $, not having to pay the machinist for masking stuff off.

Then some primer and hi-temp paint...voila, red calipers to match the new Z06 fronts.

I also got my rotors from NAPA. Rears were US but the C-5 fronts that came in were chinese

i dont even know if they are good working rear calipers or not. I get tons of weird noise coming from my rear and i believe it to all be brake related. I just looked into those centric rotors and that seems like a decent deal so i will probably try them out.

I have hawks pads all the way around the car as i did on my last car but i always seem to get weird noises from these pads. when its wet they have made noises on both my cars plus they have always started squeeking. Could be my rotors i guess? i had powerslots
