We're currently "restoring" the interior of the '85 Vette, having just finished putting in all the insulation material and now in the process of installing the carpet. Im stumped about one thing though, namely the small panel that enshrouds the hood release. I cannot remember how it is mounted.
I wasnt smart enough to take a picture of it beforehand, because I figured I had enough pics of the old interior already. Turns out they arent on the PC anymore. Stupid.
I would highly appreciate if someone were so kind to post up a pic of the panel, to get one more piece of the interior puzzle into the right spot.
I dont have any pics, but on my 84 one side of that piece that goes around the release has 2 screw holes on one side with little clips that are threaded. That area goes behind the side pannel that is facing the door. There are 2 holes on that panel that line up with the holes in the little hood release cover piece. The screws run through the outer panel and screw into the holes on the cover piece.
Not sure if that helps at all, but it may be a start.
