LS1 Processor?
Anyone know if there is a way we can get to reflash the ECM on LS1's? Anyone know what kind of processor it's using?

Yes, your ecm is a flash type-you plug in a cable from your laptop to load your new file. LS1 edit is the software to change your program-it's supposed to be in the works for release soon if not already. I'm amazed that GM released the code!!!

How would someone go about building a programmer even if you knew let's say the "code". What does the GM code actually do?

Actually, when Troy asked me what section it should fall under, my response was:
Quote:
At first thought, the C4 section is where it would make sense, but then people are swapping TPI setups into sharks and mid-years, so they would also want to learn.... someday LS1 tuning will be much more approachable once it's hacked more.....
I thought about having him put it in the general section, but since most tuning is on C4's I guess it's more at home here!
But all years/efi are welcome here!!!

GM did not release the code. They would not. This was all reverse engineered in hex editors.

Hmmm, OK, maybe my mistake- I'll have to go recheck it- I beleive it was in GM High Tech that said GM was changing their years long policy on that.

Re: (Marcho Polo)
Yes please include LS1s also. As tools like LS1edit become more available we will need experts to explain it all :)
