Hi all, my wifes 94 has had this strange problem of not starting sometimes when it was almost up to temp. for years, but I could never duplicate the symptom in the shop, well now it hard to start whenever its above 140F, has never had a MIL, no stored codes.
So heres where I'm at, fuel pressure 43lbs, it has spark, when a noid is plugged in there is a couple of blinks when first cranking then nothing, sometimes about .5 second later it starts blinking and engine starts.
I did discover a bad MAP sensor (stuck at 1 volt) and changed it, it seems a little better afterward but dosn't fire up like it used to.
dirty Mass Air Flow sensor? Right after I got my 94 it went thru a phase of not wanting to start or run well. I tracked it down to the K & N filter oil building up on the MAF. A little carb cleaner and I was on my way.
