Default Calgon ?

Anyone here ever heard of some product for cleaning the cooling system or what ever, called Calgon? I have been reading about it at other forums but I cant get an answer as to what it is or what it does. Any ideas?

Never heard of it being used in a automotive enviroment but don't see why not.
My experience is of it being used in industrial boilers to prevent scale buildup by bonding with the calcium to keep it in solution.
I believe it is also used domestically as a water softener in hard water areas where the minerals in the water prevent detergent suds forming.

I have heard of Calgon, but it is a softener for baths. Look in the bath and beauty section in your local stores. I never heard of it being used for that, but who knows?
