Default Moronic need help

I started this over in the general section but figured I would move it here

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=2033909

Long story short I stripped the belt tensioner bolt. Here is my last post in general.

Yeah Pete it seems to be headed that way. There is no drilling gonna happen with to acc bracket on the engine. I was thinking of trying to tap it with the PS pump out and no drilling but I guess I fubared it and better fix it right. But I have a couple new questions.

1. Is there a way to remove the PS pump from it without pulling the pulley off of it. I am looking at the FSM and it makes everything look sooo easy but I have loosend up the 3 bolts that appear to hold it and I get no movement. What am I missing? I still have the lines hooked up is it necessary to take them off. Is it possible to even pull the bracket without pulling the pump?

2. The FSM shows 2 bolts holding the bracket on (LT1) one is conviently located behing the WP and the other just an inch above the PS rack. Geeze give me a break I hope I don't have to pull the WP or rack to get it off.The fsm also gives no torque for those bolts and after this I am definately afraid of getting too manly with any bolts. Suggestions?

So I find that the reason I started this in the first place was not even valid. The Belt I took off seems to match up well with the new one and the probale cause of my voltage fluctuation is not a weak tensioner, The alternator ( which was rebuilt twice last year) has a wobbly shaft. When it rains it pours doesn't it.

Looking for the upside at least I get to clean up the caked on oil and crud that is preventing me from seeing the PS pump hoses. I hope I don't fubar the Opti in the clean up process. Everything down there has at least a 1/2 inch build up. If I had the money now would be a good time to do the wires I will see all of them on the drivers side. Guess what I will be doing this holiday weekend

I don't know how the back of the 93 pump looks, but the description sound in similar. I was able to get at those 3 bolts w/a locking flex ratchet wrench from the back side of the bracket.

Go to your local Home Depot, they sell a kit for taking stripped bolts out. It is kinda of slick, you take a special bit and bore about an 1/8" hole and then you put on the other bit and it will take the bolt out.
