What kind of problems and what do you do, change filter?
I'm not sure of all of the manifestations of too much oil, although one of them is auto tranny problems, because of the ECM's read of the MAF sensor control.
I read it in a couple of other forums, and also on the GM tech service bulletin for all S series vehicles, including vehicles with 4L60E deep pans, as does vette.
There's a rash of tune problems in c4 here of late, and the problems are dodgin' all diagnostic clues.
I just remembered again that if you have too much oil on your K&N, it will jam up the MAF readin's and cause tune problems.
How ya' lookin' on that?
Good point this happed to my 95 about a week (50 miles) after I installd an new K&N. Too much oil caused a coating on the wires of the maf. It manifests itself as a loss of power when driving as if a plug is failing.

I think I've heard that part too.
But exactly what happens? Does the computer retard or advance the timing? Does it change the fuel air mix? Both?
So it gets a bad air mass reading from the oily wire. What exactly does the computer do? Knowin' that might help solve a few problems here...
