96 Digital dash problem - what's up with this?

96 Digital dash problem - what's up with this?
I tried the search function but didn't find anything on the late C4's. Ever since I've owned my car, the dash occasionally goes out after going over a bump or something. It's usually worse when the car is cold. It only takes a very light tap on top of the dash to bring it back on. It seems like it has very slightly loose connection. It's not a major problem, but it's a bit irritating.
Anybody have any idea what it could be on a '96 dash. If not, what are my options to fix it?

Search pulled up a bunch.... Try using Advanced, include Archive Posts in your search list
