Default Dual Mass flywheel question

I have my flywheel out trying to find a knocking noise. how easy should the flywheel front plate move on the back plate. How did tell if it is bad or ok. car is a 94

if i remember right, you can't resurfae these things. when i did a clutch job on a c4 not all that long ago i swiped a camaro flywheel. it's almost a bolt on operation. you mill it .090, use the camaro disc and vette pressure plate. any LT1 camaro flywheel will do. there was a thread that went pretty deep into this just a couple days ago. good links it had. as for your DM flywheel, they usually last quite awhile. if you have a 50k car you might...this is a might be able to reuse it if you do the redneck resurface {air sander} check into that LT1 camaro option. it's cheap and knocks the flywheel weight in half.
