I've noticed the same symptoms on my 93. I had a halfshaft ujoint go bad and replaced it, but mileage still has not improved. May have another problem. Gotta do more research before I buy parts. :U

Try changing the oxygen sensor and hope for the best.

Check you spark plug wires. I had the same thing happen to me, a plug wire melted through b/c it was touching the exhaust manifold. I too got about 16 mpg hwy. When I replaced it, it went up to 24.5. It did not set any codes, but it did run like it was missing. Check plugs too, you might have one that is gunked up. :cheers:

hmm i got same problem
found one of the o2 sensors were mucked up replaced it but haven't taken the car back onto the hwy since to do a run and see where the fuel averages out right now it says like 12-13mpg! thats insane! lol
