Have a grinding noise
ok this started about a week ago. When ever I am at a low RPM I get the really horrible sounding grinding noise coming from underneath me First I though my brakes but I doubt it as it rarely happens when I am on them. So do you have any ideas?

ok it is beneth the pedals maybe under the seats but no farther back. It only happens at idle to about 1.5k RPM's. It is not a real loud noise, kind of like a grinding/rubbing sound. Kinda hard to explain

I don't know...I was going to say it could be the throwout bearing, but I think you would only have the noise when the clutch is engaged.

I would say it's a loose/leaky exhaust, had a similar noise thought it was the torcconverter cuz i only had it while accelerating - turned out that when the engine shifted just a bit in it's mountings a tiny crack opened just infront of the cat....

I vote for leaky exhaust as well. I was getting a similar noise from my car in about the same place right after putting my Corsa exhaust on the car. Just needed to tighten up a few of the clamps a little more to fix. :smash:
