On my 92 I was trying to flush the brake fluid. Cant get a flow going out of the rear brakes. Tryed the 4 mile an hour braking to unlock the Abs. Still no flow. Can i unplug the Abs system to bleed without restriction?
Hmm. Are you sure your bleeder valves are OK? Maybe try disconnecting the brake hose and see if that squirts fluid out. You'll get some air in there, but if you're bleeding it anyway...something to try
Are you using a pressure bleeder? Like one of the hand pump units? If so, you can just unscrew the bleeders and take them out for a while until clean fluid flows out. I used about 15psi in mine. Fluid doesn't spray out everywhere, just a slow trickle. ABS shouldn't have anything to do with bleeding. Don't have the ignition on to bleed brakes.
WHen I replaced the master cylinder on my 86' I also flushed the fluid. The rears did not want to flow. I gave up trying and just filled the master cylinder and left the bleed tube attached to the rear passenger caliper, with the end of the tube submerged in brake fluid. I took a 30 minute brake to eat, and when I returned, gravity had bleed the line for me. It was easy to pedal bleed from there.
Yes thanks for replys.
At first i get a good flow then there is none. I tried the abs reset thing at 4 mhp then I got another squirt then none. Got pissed hooked up my mity vac let it go at max vacuum some fluid did come out but I take it every time you press peddle there should be some fluid nope.
crazy thing is i have a solid peddle.
I have the brakes dragging when the system has been driven for 5-10 min. corvette shop said to flush out fluid that should help.
Now it seems the brakes are dragging in the front even before hot.
