Just make sure there is no J55 code.

I believe the 12 inch rotors are the JL9 option. J55 is the 13 inch HD brakes code, as already mentioned.

My list shows JL9 as anti-lock, I think this could be listed with J55 so may not be a good indication of what brakes are on. I have not comfirmed this though.

JL9 - Anti-lock front and rear disc brakes

Yep,

Just checked my '91 FSM on the RPO code page and it says exactly that. Anyone have a J55 factory-equipped car that has the JL9 code on the underside of the armrest? That would solve it.

My '96 has J55 listed (as the 13 inch front brakes became standard in 1995). But there is no JL9 listed on my RPO codes.

I do believe the JL9 is the code for the standard brakes (12" front). And anti-lock brakes became standard back in 1986.

Correct, they are 12 inches in the front if you have the JL9 code and NOT the J55 code. If you're looking for some easily available rotors, try NAPA, I paid $40 each. If you can wait, you'll be able to find a better deal online or from forum vendors or members.
