Lately I have noticed a fuel oder around the back of my 1986 Corvette when I get home. At first didn't think much of it but last night I was driving and noticed that the car was having some performance issues. When I was going about 80km then took my foot off of the gas pedal it would lose power then cut in then lose then cut in and so on. If I was stopped at a light then it seemed to have trouble moving forward then it would be fine.
Not sure if this is a weak fuel tank, a leak in a line, gasket problem at the tank, or something else. I am sure that the smell of fuel at the back of the car has somethign to do with it.
Disconnect vent line from top of tank to canister under LH headlight and blow through.
If blocked will cause vapours to be vented direct from tank instead of to canister
This line often gets blocked by rust where the steel lines join rubber ones in LHR wheel well.
