If you don't need to I wouldn't, you will burn out the main fan prematurely.
I turn on my aux. fan at 205 and that works fine. No need to run both fans early on my car.

I'm not worried at the cost of the fans that much (I know someone that sells them purty cheaply..:wink-but it does run pretty hot in Tucson, AZ traffic...
I've been running that setup since I got my '88 in 2000 and had no problems with either fan so far.
The reason I opted for this method over a separate manual fan sw on the main fan only is the pure simplicity of the wiring.
I should mention that in this recent 80s-90s weather my fans run constantly and coolant temps range around 170deg F but then I'm running the std radiator, not the HD unit that came with the Z-51 option. And this is with the A/C Off; with A/C On and in heavy street traffic, she will climb into the 200deg F range even still.
