need carb linkage for 700r4, try bowtie overdrives they make a nice setup. Dropbase air cleaner, new HEI, and many many hours working out the wireing.
Many hours working out wireing?I was not aware of that?can you tell us what was envolved?Ive read the mpg gauge will not work, and you may have to mod. a torque converter lock up i think?

More like removing all the wiring. Dont need much to run a carbed engine.
When I converted my 84 to carb the car had set for many years and I never got the CFI to work befor I scraped it. The point is well taken that you are actually just making the gauges work however there is a mess of wires running the CFI that will not be needed for the conversion. Remember if there is a gauge sensor then there will be a wire. It does become very basic very fast as I have discovered that most components seem to work fine except a few that are more likely the result of being 24 years old rather than being a conversion problem. I did go as far as removing the wire from the car, created a new harness to handle the MSD and now my underhood is clean and well thought out. When I discussed it on the forum it has not been popular however my last 1/8 mile pass was a 7.98 with alot of tire spin. It definitly puts you in a more conventional performance gain arena. I am contemplating some level of raised hood arrangement to come up with a better intake manifold. I presently use a Torker 2 with a BG mighty Demon 650. My transmission buddy upgraded my 700r4 to a single wire operation that runs through the brake switch. I put a toggle switch in as well so I have control of the lock up feature. I am not sure where you are located but if you are near the greater Chattanooga TN area I could probobly help you.
Thanks for all the help guys i live in the little rock ar area as far as hoods go i alread have an 2&3/4" high rise hood so im not to woried about that sad part is i was just about finshed porting an CFI intake i think i will just cap and tie the extra wires i dont need so if i want to i can go back to the CFI later also i have 1/6 roller rockers some long tubes for my vette a high flow cat and a nitrous kit as well that will all be going on with this swap should be loads of fun thanks agian
