TPIS book has a graph of these L98 engines in stock form, then equiped with the miniram and LTR,and etc.But For all I know, they could have fudged on the numbers somewhat.
Be cool to see more real world dyno numbers from stock engines on here.I dont mean PEAK,but show the numbers from idle to peak or 5250.

Someone post a dyno of a stock (close to stock L98) I want to compare the torque #'s in the lower RPM's
Ask and you shall receive. My car stock.

211.2 RWHP
315.1 FT/LB

She ran 13.89 @ 98.17 with that.

Okay. So it sounds to me like this is the way to go (since the miniram is mainly good for higher RPMs - not really for the daily driver):

LPE/Accel High Flow TPI Runners for L-98 Engines
http://secure.techservices.net/fwistore/showdetl.cfm?&DID=85&User_ID=320107&st=7 083&st2=50662627&st3=-79537954&Product_ID=42&CATID=11

or should you just use this instead of the above:
LPE/Accel SuperRam Plenum Runner Kit
http://secure.techservices.net/fwist...ID=40&CATID=11

ALONG WITH:

LPE/Accel SuperRam Base Intake Manifold
http://secure.techservices.net/fwist...ID=41&CATID=11

Hmm. I didn't see anything about an LPE fuel injection system that might replace the TPI (since it wasn't really meant for 350ci engines). Can anyone tell me where I might find this product?

Thanks

Keep in mind you NEED heads & cam to make the minram or Superram work. If i had to chose between the 2 I would pick the miniram no contest.
Pass on the Accel large tube runners and get the Arizona Speed & Marine ones, they are MUCH better. The Accel units have cast surfaces inside while the ASM's are extruded so the inner surfaces are smooth. Also, you can get a TPIS baseplate or better yet just get the Edelbrock unit for alot less.

Instead of buying a TPI car and sinking $ into replacing the TPI why not just start with an LT1 car ?
All it takes to get an LT1 car into the 12's is a gear & good converter, which will probably cost you less than replacing the TPI and will be less work.
I don't know how it is in NY but with the current status of the market here in the midwest prices are dropping like a rock. You should have no problems getting a nice LT1 car cheap.

just my .02

Thanks Nick. Unfortunately, the guy in New York selling his Corvette sold it two weeks ago. So.. No more Corvettes in New York. heh. Anyways..

Jeez. What a delemma. I wonder what I should get. It sounds to me like the L98 is more fun to drive around town with more power down low. But of course, gears would get an LT1 into its horsepower quickly..

Nonetheless, I don't have a Vette yet and will probably settle for whatever C4 I can get my hands on. I love the way they look...

A great place to look for info on fuel injection the Corvette is a book called "Corvette Fuel Injection and Electronic Ignition" or something like that. It is written by Charles Probst and is available through Robert Bentley Publishing.

It is about $35.00 and explains all the theory behind the various injection systems.
