Default Fuel pump - Walbro 255?

Does anybody know what the stock fuel pump on a 96 LT4 flows? I have a lean condition at high rpm and need to upgrade the stock pump. The motor has been stroked to 396 ci and is running 30# injectors. Is a walbro 255 a good choice? Does it flow at a much higher rate than the stock pump? Any alternative suggestions? Thanks,
Pete

I don't recall nor have the flow numbers (surely a Google will get them), but I run one in my 381 (450 HP) and no issues with either 31.6's or 36 injectors.

My understanding is it is plenty for pretty much any NA application...

The kit from Racetronix was a bolt in and still working after 22,000 miles.

A 255 Walbro should work fine. It's a very good pump and it flows at 255 LPH. I think that's good for over 500HP.

Thanks for your responses. Does anyone know how many LPH the stock pump flows? I can't seem to find this info anywhere. Just want to make sure the Walbro will be able to supply sufficiently more than the stock pump.

What do you have the FPR set to?
You may beed to bump the FP up a couple of PSI, have you tune the ECM?

I don't remember the exact number for the stock pump, but I think it is 160 lph.

I have the walbro 255 lph pump as well, but I think it's overkill.

I don't know what the fuel pressure is set to, but the Vette Doctors are tuning it and Carmen or Dennis said that the injectors are maxxing out around 5500 rpm, and that I should put in a higher flowing fuel pump. I'm sure he bumped up the FP already. The ecm had a mail order tune that Carmen is tightening up. I just spoke to the builder of the motor and he agreed that a 255 Walbro will correct the problem. So now I will order it and hope that I can squeeze out a few more ponies above 5500rpm! Thanks for the help, guys.

Based on previous info I had researched, the factory LT4 had a 180LPH pump. The 255LPH should provide additional headroom.

Great. Thanks, Aaron, for the clarification on LPH and the reassurance that it will be sufficient.

you might look at the Racetronix (?) kit. This kit has a wiring upgrade. They showed there is enough voltage drop to cause the pump output to drop.

Thanks, jsinga. The kit I ordered actually includes it:
Racetronix Fuel Pump w/ Walbro GSS340M 255L/Hr pump + Racetronix custom installation kit, 1990-1996 L98/LT1 C4 Corvette
Should be here in a day or two.
