When I first purchased my second vette, I had it flatbedded home. The tow truck guy was good, and he was the only one who his company let tow vettes. One minor boo boo which I caught in time was that he was about to hook up the rear chains to my rear leaf spring. I informed him that these were plastic, and not metal. He didn't believe me at first and I can understand how he could have mistaken them for metal since they're black. I had him hook the chain to something less breakable. FWIW.

That was a good catch!
BTW, I'm tearing my 85 down and rebuilding it and I've noticed that it has tie-down hooks welded to the frame on all four corners (just to the "inside" of the wheel, meaning behind the fronts and in front of the rear wheels). I wonder if this is standard on all C4s?

yeah, definitely a good catch. I probably would have forgotten about that!
