how do you take the spark plug wire brackets apart with out braking them? 95 lt1 auto

The quick answer to your "quick" question is "Carefully, very carefully."
Hopefully the pictures below will help, the top retainer snaps over the lower half of the loom on each end, a hook type of attachment.
Carefully pry up either end with a small screwdriver, the other side will pivot and unlatch easily.

In theory, this is correct. In practise, with age and heat cycling, these plastic pieces, along with many others(and not all just under the hood!). - become extra brittle! So yes, be very careful - but be prepared for breakage, no matter what! Cheers.

Yeah some of mine were already broken and I proceeded to break the rest. Are these peices unique to vettes and is there a place to get new ones cheap?

I found them on Ecklers for 8 and some change i think i'll just break them and order new ones. thanks guys will try with a screw driver first.
