I just changed my spark plugs and noticed something very wrong on the old ones. The flat part on the top of the spark plug that connects to the wire is worn all the way through as if the spark ate it away. Has anyone seen this before?
I would be checking to make sure you had a solid connection between the spark plug wire end clip and the spark plug terminal. Quite possible that the clip was not even over the terminal...that'd be my first check.
Does it look like it was worn that way or somebody clipped off the end? On later aluminum heads, some people like to clip the tip off. Its supposed to gain more power that way.
If it has worn that way it would be a sign of preignition. Might want to try a cooler plug.

Yes, it is the part of the spark plug that connects to the plug wire, but it was on every single plug. Someone told me it might be an ignition coil problem, is there any way to test your ignition coil to see if it is power surging?
