No communication w/ TunerCat (DataMaster fine)

No communication w/ TunerCat (DataMaster fine)
Title kind of says it all, but some additional info:
'95 LT1/4L60e (installed in a '76 Stingray) using an '95 F-body PCM and Painless wiring harness...
Both programs have run FINE in the past, but now not getting any communication when trying to use Tunercat. Since DataMaster is "reading" my PCM, I'll make a CrAzY assumption that the cables and connections are fine (they seem to be!)
Any ideas???

Just some more info...
Fans come on for a moment (as they should) and the "% bar" starts up (gets to probably 20 - 25%) then I get an error message of: "No response from PCM" (or something to that effect)
