Default Odd Problem Odd Fix

1990 L98 automatic. I'd posted a problem, a couple of years ago, that I experienced with my tranny hunting as I acended and decended hills while going between 40 and 50 mph. Since I'd had the tranny rebuilt to stage 2 by a rebuilder, I thought it might be a quirk caused by the changes and the new 2300 rpm torque converter.
I recently had a brake booster failure and replaced the vacuum booster. The tranny now works perfectly, no more hunting. The brake pedel also feels considerably different, somewhat softer.
Just a heads up to others that my have a similar mystery.

The boosters are exposed to exhaust manifold heat and over time can crack in a place not easily seen. This'll cause a vacuum leak; Mine did.

A saw a mag article where a heat shield was fabricated to prevent the exhaust heat from so easily effecting the plastic booster. I did the same thing for my replacement.

I believe Corvette Central sells a metal one, which I only found out about after I'd installed the plastic replacement.
