help..no brakes
a few weeks ago i had a caliper fall off.I replaced the pin.Now the check abs and asr lights are on.The brakes make a weird scrubbing noise and the asr is no longer working.Is there a way to pull codes without scan tool....Any idea why this happened?

I had a sensor fail
I had one of my calipers malfunction when a bearing was going bad and it also wiped out one of the sensors at the wheel. It was the left rear as I recall. I had to replace the sensor and then everything worked again. Check your sensors and see if one has worn through.

If you fill out your profile or at least tell us the year of your car we may be able to provide some help reading and clearing codes. Based on the limited information provided I would inspect the tone wheel and sensor on the wheel in question for damage. The ABS is likely disabled because there is a code stored for the wheel speed sensor on that wheel.
