hi there, was just wondering what temp it is when my fan cuts in, its app 8mm before the shading area on the guage, which has no number markings so i have no idea what the temp is at that point. and is that normal too. thanks
I believe your fan should cut in at 228 or when your AC is running. You should also have a gauge button that you can jog through to get a digital read out of your coolant temp. Maybe a 90 model is different don't know.
ok and if i just press face vents is that right that its no a/c. i think it said in the book, if you have just vents it not running ac, but windscreen and foot well buttons do.
The 90 does not have the digital feature in the speedo display.
I don't have my FSM handy, so I'm not sure what the exact turn on temps are, but 228 does sound about right.
If you have the electronic HVAC system, you can pull up the temp readout( in C )on that display.
Push both fan speed buttons until the display reads -00. Use the right button to scroll to -16 and push the fan AUTO button. This will bring up the coolant temp.
You can also use -06 to read RPM. Multiply that number by 25 and compare it to your Tach.
