Default Vents wont change over.

My vents wont changer over from the floor to the the dash or to defrost. its stuck on the floor vent. Whats the probable cuase. its not the switch i dont thing becuase the little light that tells you what setting it is on changes when you push the different buttons just not the actual difference in vents. thanks

Try the cheap fix first - there's a vacuum check valve under the passenger side fuel rail cover - you can get a replacement for a couple of bucks. Looks like this:

If that doesn't do the trick, then search for threads on this subject - it's a common problem.

.......vacuum "t" is shot or, broken vacuum line...however the "t" is not "under" the fuel rail but, alongside/back of it...

He's got a 96' ....the check valve is under the right fuel rail.

ok the check valve had a hole in it. good call guys. But where can i get a check valve at? i just put a T in there for now that wont hurt anything for short drives will it?
