92 turn signal switch replacement
i started to replace my turn signal switch yesterday only to see that it was the mallable iron portion at the turn signal handle that was broke. that is all fixed now but while driving the car home the "infl rest" light came on followed shortly thereafter by the "service asr" light. i can disconnect the battery and get the "service asr" light to go out for a brief period but that's as far as i get in solving the problems. i have a Snap-on MT2500 scanner but i am not seeing any codes so far. any help?

I replaced the same piece in my 91 and had no problems afterwords, are you sure all connectors were plugged back in??

double checking
but im sure i did reconnect everything. there is one thing though. on the old one there was a black wire that connected to the steering column that the new switch didnt have..... i thought it was a ground and the new switch grounded another way.
the "asr" light was gone today when i started the car and didnt return all day.... go figure.
