NEED HELP,
I changing the starter on my 1984 Vette. There is supposed to be a brace that supports the rear of the starter. I have the brace, but I cannot figure out how/where it bolts to on the engine block.

I thought that might be the place on the block. but I cant get a bolt in the hole with the exhaust manifold in place. Dont know if there should be a stud type bolt installed before the manifold was installed. However the starter seems to work just fine without the bolt.
PS: had the motor replaced and finding a lot of little thing that are not right.
