Well the tech that is putting on my new exhaust manifold gasket says the fron seal is leaking. I can see oil on the under carage of the car, but its not really dripping on the ground. Is this a big job to replace? or should I just wait for it to get worse?
If you're talking about the timing cover then I would not let a non-Corvette mechanic touch it.
They do leak but the much more likely suspects are the intake to Chinawall RTV gaskets.
Pass on any offer to fix it today and buy an oil leak dye&light kit at your favorite big chain autoparts store. Then you'll know where it is leaking for sure.
BTW one should never buy a used C4 that isn't leaking because that means the previous owner let all the fluids drain out of it.
