Default Exhaust Note

I just installed my new exhaust from the cat back I went with a crossover tube rear y-pipe & what Mid- America calls there ZR1 exhaust, basically it’s a Monza style with square tips a lot of suppliers carry them so I'm not flaming them. The sound is great I’m happy with the set up, however don’t believe the, these mufflers bolt on with no modification crap! You need to tweak the hell out of them to have them fit right, they should say requires a tube bender & custom brackets to have every thing turn out OK. On the up side good chrome plate on the tips nice heavy gauge steel construction, just don’t try this @ home.

I had that setup on my vette when i first bought it. To me, it sounded more european than anything, so I did a complete exhaust system with flow 40s, that sound hits the spot for me.

I must admit though, the car sounded super mean in the higher rpms with the monza mufflers!

I had the same mufflers on my car about 8 years ago. They sounded OK, but I agree they were a major PITA to get lined up correctly. They also rusted out on me in about 2 years which was surprising as I rarely drive in the rain.
