The EGR isn't an issue since the EGR gets it's exhaust from the heat riser passages in the head. All you will have to do is block off the heat riser in the exhaust manifold with a piece of stainless rod of the right diameter and a hose clamp. Or have someone weld a washer on the top of the stainless dowel, and plop it in the hole. Just make sure it's a tight fit or you will have an exhaust leak. or...Make a blank off, and screw it to the header.

Thanks Guys!! I was offerd a set of 90 SS coated headers for a smoken price, and wanted to know if they would work for my 85.
