First brake job on my 92...the 2 caliper mounting bracket bolts are on disgustingly tight. I even am using a tight fit 13/16" & even w/ hammer wacks & a liberal dose of liquid wrench nothing is budging??
Anyone have any other ideas??
FYI...I'm taking the bracket off as I have a new set of discs for the front & a new caliper.
Okay...I borrowed a long handle socket from my neighbor & we both worked it a while & "finally"!! Leverage is my friend. I figured worst case I would have been at Home Depot buying a piece of pipe but the long handle worked nice!
Good news is the new calipers (painted red) & new disk look really nice!
I was so exhausted when I finished the other side just a few hours ago I jumped in the pool & figured I do the brake flush tomorrow. Have a new tool "toy" from Griot's Garage...the reservoir to flush the entire system...look forward to trying it out tomorrow!
