I noticed the injector was alittle shorter than the stock one. I have my vette torn down waiting for new injectors but I dont know if I need to modify the mount. I dont want to get this together and find out they leak. Seller on ebay claims they will work without any modifications.

If You Own An 86 Read This Before Changing Injectors.
The 86 For Some Reason Has An 1/8 Additional Height On The Injector Stands. These Manifolds Were Made At A Different Foundry Than The 85, 87-91.
Just curious, Do you have or can you direct me to any documentation to support the statement that the 1986 manifolds were made at a different foundry? I mentioned this thread to a friend of mine who is a NCRS judge and he would like to know.

See, there is NO OTHER forum vendor that would do this...hell you'd be lucky to talk to them..

there is no documentation. just as you do certain things over the years you notice that things are sometimes different from car to car. I have done this injector swap many times. I have noticed that on some cars they fit fine and on some I had to shave the manifold an 1/8 th of an inch so the injector goes into the rail deep enough for me to be comfortable. I had 2 l98 manifolds here and noticed different foundry marks and 1 was 1/8 higher than the other. With the longer multec it would never be a problem. The measurement can only be taken with the plenum and rails off. If you buy our injector you don't have to worry.
