Default 5th gear dragracing?

Is it ok to use 5th gear dragracing? I running out of rpms with 4.10s

I don't see why not if you're hitting the rev limiter in 4th...

I've done it my car for a few years now with no problems, other than the lost ET due to the extra shift.

No lt4 running low 12. I know with nitrous I will run out of rpm

I've trapped 125mph on my LT4 with 4.10s. I don't recommend it...it's turning pretty hard at that speed, but if you are running low 12's, your trap speeds are probably 115-117, which isn't too bad. Get your rev limiter raised a bit. Mine is set at 6,800.

The rev limit is 6400 ish its all hot cam lt4 valve train so I don't know if I could spin it that high. trapping 114

Just check your valve spring pressures and make sure they are up to snuff and you're good to go.
