02 sensor comparison
does anyone have any info about different brands of 02 sensors.
The reason I ask is Bosch 02 sensor is less than $20.00
AC Delco 02 sensor is more than $40.00.
This is for a stock 89 L98 which I believe only has 1 sensor.
Any info would be appreciated. Jimbo 89

I had problems with a Bosch being bad out of the box on my last car. This is one of those areas where I would stick with OEM IMHO.

I currently have Bosch on both sides of my exhaust. No problems. The significant price difference led me to go with Bosch over AC/Delco.
Now, for the knock sensors, I went with AC/Delco. I've heard some of the aftermarket sensors are outside the program parameters of the stock sensors and can create false knock coding, unwanted spark retarding and other problems.

my stock AC lasted 99,000 miles
I replaced them with bosch
where does that leave me?
stockers lasted a long time, but I think you pay for the name with AC
some have had bad out of the box with AC parts as well (opti ring a bell)

OK the roll the dice..........
I just tend to lean towards OEM for electrical items since these cars are so touchy electrical wise.

If you do a cross-reference, there are only so many O2 sensors made. I believe that one of mine is from a Dodge Ram.

Plus, they're probably all made in either China or Mexico these days, so the quality control's an increasing turkey shoot....

I've been running a Bosch for 5-6 yrs. without any problems or any thing showing out of range on my scanner.
