Bilstein Shock Rebuild for FX3

Has anyone had Bilstein rebuild their FX3 shocks? I hear they do a nice job and not overly expensive. I also heard that the shocks were guaranteed for life and there was no charge for rebuilding. Anyone kn ow first hand? Has anyone purchased new actuators from Bilstein and do the rebuild those as well?

They do a good job. If they need to replace the center tube, they'll cost around $100/ea to rebuild. They'll even re-valve them for you to "other than stock" specs.

Their "Replacement Shocks" are guaranteed for life. The OEM shocks that came with the car are made to a lower standard than the direct replacement Bilstein shocks (according to the guy at Bilstein I talked to). If you bought a replacement set of shocks from Bilstein, then Yes, they have a lifetime warranty.

I was told by Bilstein they do not rebuild the actuators. They may do it now, but 2 years ago they did not.

Thanks, Joe90. I appreciate the info....I had also heard that for m$55 they will revalve and rebuild. I don't think mine need the center tube, just the "gear" on the end.
