I'm starting to go through some of the motor on the Vette and have some questions about plugs and gaps with NOS.
I pulled the plugs and NGK TR55's are in the car right now. They are all set to a gap of .055. This seems pretty large to me. The manual stated .050 on a stock LT4, but what should the gap be on a built forged 383, ported heads and intake, and 75 - 200 shot of nitrous, which I may never use?
Also, something that I've always wanted to know, what is the benefits of a plug gap that wide vs something in the .039 range?
