Default Motor w/Header install Question

I'm wondering if anyone has installed an LT motor with the Longtubes already attached to the block? I've looked and prodded, but don't know of anyone posting that they had and I'm wondering for ease of installation could you do it that way, or is it just asking for trouble?

Thanks in advance

Noland

I have not done it but would think trouble would await. Once motor is in and bare the header should have plenty of room to go in from the bottom.... Now if no lift is around, it may be another issue.

Good luck with the motor!!!

I can't say from experience, but I just had a quick look at mine, and didn't see anything obvious that would get in the way. If it works, you'll save yourself a few choice words ;-)

I couldn't remove my LT1 with EM long tubes with the headers installed.

But I leave the hood, radiator and such on the car and maybe if I had the guts to force it around a little more it would have worked.

If you figure out how to do it please post details (it would save so much time to be able to have the plugs and wires done on the motor stand)

This is about as much as I've been able to leave on the engine

I just did mine but I only had the passenger side on the drivers side is easy to put on when the motor is in the car.
